Local Councils Discuss Land Protection with the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission

A coordination meeting to discuss the protection of residents’ property and land and to strengthen cooperation in confronting attacks and attempted illegal property transfers.

As part of efforts to strengthen joint cooperation and protect citizens' rights, Beitin Village Head of the village council Eng. Tariq Hamed, accompanied by council member Ms. Samah Hamed, visited theColonization & Wall Resistance Commission. The visit also included the mayor of Deir Dibwan, the Head of Burqa Village Council, and a representative of the mayor of Ein Yabrud. During the meeting, participants discussed several important issues affecting the region, foremost among them the growing challenges resulting from settler attacks, as well as the risks associated with attempts to transfer land and real estate, particularly property belonging to Palestinians living abroad. They agreed to establish a practical foundation for stronger cooperation and coordination between the Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission and local councils, ensuring the protection of citizens' property, safeguarding the land, and confronting all forms of attack and encroachment. This step affirms a unified position and shared responsibility, based on the belief that protecting the land is a collective duty requiring both official and popular efforts.
