Agreement Reached to Form a Permanent Agricultural Committee
Published 2026-06-29 — Beitin Village Council
An agreement to establish an Agricultural Committee and adopt an initial plan to follow up on farmers’ needs, protect land, and support the agricultural sector.
A productive meeting and a practical step toward serving our land and farmers. Believing that farmers are the first line of defense for the land, and that protecting the land begins with supporting its owners, this meeting was an important milestone in laying the foundations for organized agricultural work that serves our village and its people. The meeting concluded successfully with an agreement to form an agricultural committee that will be officially approved by the village council. An initial action plan was also developed to ensure follow-up on farmers' needs, advance the agricultural sector, protect the land, and strengthen the resilience of those who own and cultivate it. We emphasize that the committee's work will not be limited to meetings. It will extend to every part of our village's agricultural land so that we can stand beside our farmers, who carry the great responsibility of protecting the land and preserving the legacy of our parents and grandparents. Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to everyone who attended and shared ideas and proposals, as well as to those who were unable to attend. This initiative belongs to everyone, and the council's doors will remain open to every idea and effort that serves our village. Together we protect the land, and together we build a future worthy of Beitin and its people.
